Miscellaneous Morsels Blog

In 1793 when Jane Austen was 17, she became an aunt in January and in April. We have a June letter from her in which she sent one of the infants two short stories referring to these gifts as Miscellanious Morsels, which I found an appropriate name for a blog. Apologies to Miss Austen for not also borrowing her spelling, but red squiggly lines and text messages informing me of my error, I found too much to bear.

Yours &c., Angie

Angie Kuempel is a former stockbroker, turned writer. She’s had a couple of short stories published, including one in a contest for Jane Austen fan fiction. JASNA entered her life during the pandemic when she learned that self-study on Jane existed outside of the group she’d created with her mom and sisters. She is the current JASNA Regional Coordinator for South and Central Texas and lives with her husband and two kids in a suburb of Austin.
